1. Who are we?

Huisje Pip is a holiday cottage at Recreatiepark De Eyckenhoff, Poolseweg 27, 3881 RC Putten. The cottage belongs to Sjoerd and Dannika, who let it as private individuals. They are responsible for the processing of your personal data as described in this privacy policy. You can reach us at info@huisjepip.nl.

2. What data do we process?

You can browse this website without leaving any data. Only if you request a stay using the form on the Prices page do we ask for:

  • your name, email address and phone number;
  • your address, postcode, town or city and country;
  • your preferred arrival and departure dates and the number of adults;
  • whether you are bringing a baby or a dog;
  • anything you choose to write in the message field;
  • confirmation that you have agreed to the terms and conditions and this privacy policy.

If you ask a question via the contact form or email us, we process your name, email address, your phone number if provided and the content of your message in order to reply to you. The contact form forwards your message to us as an email via the email service Resend; the website itself does not store it.

3. What do we use your data for?

  • Your request and stay. To assess your request, confirm your stay, contact you and send you practical information about your stay. This is necessary in order to enter into and perform the rental agreement with you.
  • Legal obligations. If you stay with us, we are legally required to keep a guest register (including name, place of residence, arrival and departure dates and number of people) and to pay tourist tax to the municipality of Putten. We must also retain our records for the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst).

We do not use your data for newsletters or advertising, we do not sell it and we do not share it with anyone other than those listed below.

4. Where is your data stored?

We manage bookings in LogeerBeheer, a management system for holiday lets. A request made via this website is forwarded directly to LogeerBeheer and stored there. We use LogeerBeheer to confirm your stay, send you emails about it and keep the guest register.

If LogeerBeheer is temporarily unavailable at the time of your request, this website stores your request temporarily and automatically tries to send it again. As soon as your request is in LogeerBeheer, your data is deleted from this website.

To run the website and LogeerBeheer, we use the following service providers, who process your data only on our instructions:

  • Supabase for the database, on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt);
  • Netlify for hosting the websites. In doing so, Netlify processes technical data such as your IP address in order to display the website.

5. How long do we keep your data?

  • We delete a request that does not lead to a stay no later than 12 months after the requested period of stay.
  • We keep data relating to a stay for as long as the law requires: 7 years for our records and the guest register.
  • We keep emails only for as long as necessary to deal with your question and arrange your stay.

6. Cookies and third-party services

This website does not itself place any tracking or advertising cookies. Only if you choose a language yourself do we remember that choice in a functional cookie.

To improve the website we keep simple visitor statistics: which pages are viewed, which website or search engine you came from, the language of the site, the type of device (based on screen width) and which steps of the booking form are completed. This is done without cookies and without storing your IP address. To avoid counting a visitor twice on the same day, we turn the IP address and browser type into an encrypted code using a key that is replaced every day and then deleted; the code cannot be traced back to you. If ‘Do Not Track’ is switched on in your browser, we measure nothing. The legal basis is our legitimate interest; the data is deleted automatically after 13 months.

  • The fonts are hosted on our own website; no data is sent to third parties for them.
  • The Amenities page contains a Google Maps map. If you view that page, Google may process data and place cookies in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
  • The link to our Instagram account only sends data to Instagram when you click on it.

7. Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access. All connections are encrypted (https) and only we have access to your data.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data and to have it corrected or deleted, insofar as we are not legally required to retain it. You can also object to the processing or ask for your data to be transferred. To do so, send an email to info@huisjepip.nl. We will respond within one month.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
